Who teaches the group sessions?
Our tutors are highly skilled educational instructors. The backgrounds and qualifications of our tutoring staff vary, but they include certified teachers, professors/adjuncts, graduate students, math and science majors, and those who hold an advanced degree. All of our tutors have at least two years of prior experience teaching or tutoring. What if my child finishes their work early?
Depending on your child's pace and number of assignments, it is possible that they could finish their work in less than the time allotted for the group session. If this happens, there are a couple options available to you:

- Our team can help your child to work ahead, if the next day's assignments are available or posted online.
- We can provide supplemental instruction. Our staff is familiar with the NC curriculum and pacing guides for each grade level and course. We will provide grade level appropriate work to keep your child on track, and in some cases, working ahead. We find that 75 - 90 minutes is an optimal length for a group session as it provides time for instruction, guided practice, and repetition to aid retention.
What is the teacher to student ratio?
The teacher to student ratio in small group math sessions will not exceed 1:4. Our emphasis is on personalized learning. This goal is achieved by keeping our teacher to student ratio low.
