As you are likely aware, the NHCS school board recently voted that middle and high school students will be able to return to school five days a week beginning 4/12. If your student will be transitioning to Plan A, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can accommodate any necessary changes to their tutoring schedule. It has been quite an adventure this school year but you're in the home stretch and we're here to help! 1/7/2021 Like you, we've been taking the 2020-21 school year one step at a time. All of our students and staff worked hard to make Fall 2020 a successful and healthy semester. Thank you! As we've adjusted to health screenings, masks and endless amounts of hand sanitizer, we've also been listening to your feedback. One of the comments that we heard over and over again, is how much you missed the convenience of drop-in tutoring. We're thrilled to announce that online booking is now available for small group tutoring! We've made a few adjustments to our small group tutoring, based on CDC and NCDHHS guidelines which will enable us to monitor student capacity in the office, maintain strict cleaning protocols and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Each group session is capped at four students and is 90 minutes in length. Students may sign up for sessions as needed or on a recurring basis. Our goal is to provide the option of in-person tutoring in the near future. Right now we are making preparations for the next step, while keeping in mind the health and safety of our students and employees. Our office is being re-organized in order to promote social distancing and we're implementing Phase-2 recommendations from the CDC and NC Department of Health for the safety of our employees and students. Re-opening our office to students will be gradual and at reduced capacity. Students that wish to continue tutoring online will be able to do so. We hope to see your smiling faces in person as soon as circumstances allow. In the meantime, hang in there! You're doing awesome! We miss you! 5/12/2020
Join Our Waitlist! We know that for some students the transition to online learning has been tough and they would really prefer to tutor in-person. We understand! If you prefer to wait until we are able to re-open for in-person tutoring please join our wait list. 5/8/2020
Mind Over Math and Phase-1 We hope to be able to provide in-person tutoring in the near future. During Phase-1 we are making preparations for the next step while keeping in mind the heath and safety of our students and employees. Our office is being re-organized in order to promote social distancing and we're continuing to emphasize cleaning protocols for the safety of our employees that utilize the office during Phase-1. As we receive additional guidance from North Carolina and New Hanover County we will be sure to update you on our plans for Phase-2. Re-opening the office to students will likely be gradual and at reduced capacity. As we all wait to see how the next few weeks play out, please know how much we appreciate you! We hope to see your smiling faces in person as soon as circumstances allow. In the meantime, hang in there! You're doing awesome! We miss you! The Mind Over Math Team 3/24/2020

Our office will not be scheduling in person sessions at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience as our office endeavors to stay abreast of this rapidly changing situation. Our concern at this time is ensuring the health and safety of our students, families, employees and our community in general. We have a fantastic online program in place to support our students. So whether your student will be tackling online classes, trying to prepare for a future SAT or ACT or simply wishes to stay on track during this time of academic upheaval, we are here to assist. We hope all of our students and families stay well. We will be reaching out over the coming week to answer any questions that you may have and to set up online lessons. ~ Sara Moore ling Online Sessions!line Sessions! |
